  • A Little Note From the Other Side of Launch Day

    Hi there! :-)

    Well… it happened.

On October 26, 2026, Archangel: Volume I: Hope and Purpose officially entered the world.

And now, a little more than a week later, I’m still trying to convince myself that it’s real :’-)

After years of writing Teifa’s story, followed by months of preparing it for publication, I thought I had a pretty good idea of what to expect when launch day finally arrived.

But I was totally wrong :-P

It’s almost impossible to describe what it feels like to hold a finished copy of a book you’ve poured your heart and soul into. And even more so when you realize that other people are now holding copies of that same book, turning its pages, and getting to know the people who have been such an important part of your life.

I’ve already been fortunate enough to receive some incredibly kind feedback from early readers. Knowing that Teifa’s story has connected with people, particularly the themes of hope, friendship, and perseverance that mean so much to me, has been an experience I’ll always and forever treasure.

    And then something else happened.

Archangel found its way onto actual bookshelves.

Thanks to the wonderful people at The Coffee Spot in Simsbury and House of Books and Games in Windsor, copies of my debut novel are now sitting alongside the work of other authors in two local businesses.

    I’ve taken photographs.

    Lots of photographs.

A likely “totally wacko” amount of photographs.

And I may or may not have looked at those photographs an absolutely unreasonable number of times just to remind myself that this is actually happening :-P

It’s been an extraordinary couple of weeks, filled with excitement, gratitude, way more than a few tears, and some moments I don’t think I’ll ever forget.

And through it all, I’ve been reminded of something important.

For me, sharing Archangel has never been about becoming famous or achieving some particular measure of success. It’s about sharing a story that means an extraordinary amount to me, and hoping that some of the hope Teifa carries with her might find its way into someone else’s life.

If even one person finishes reading her story feeling a little more hopeful than when they began, that would mean the world to me.

There’s still a great deal ahead. Work on Volume II, Hope Awakened, is continuing, and I’m looking forward to sharing more of Teifa’s journey in the months to come.

But for now, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

To everyone who’s read the book, shared a kind word, offered encouragement, or simply taken an interest in this little publishing adventure…

…Thank you for being part of it.

I absolutely can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next :’-)

    Until next time, my friends…

Hope is always the answer. 💙
