Hope is always the answer.

For my entire life, I’ve believed those words. I just never thought anyone would look for that hope… in me.

For years, Teifa Spero has survived by never staying long enough to be known. Wandering keeps the past behind her, the questions manageable, and the pain buried beneath awkward deflections… and really bad jokes.

But just as the last rays of hope fade within her, she finds a mysterious wrist device and begins using it as a journal, speaking to it like the friend she so desperately needs.

What begins as a place to record her thoughts becomes the first step toward something Teifa never expected: people who ask her to stay. As strangers become friends, Teifa helps a fractured community build a home from the ruins. And as its people begin looking to her for hope, she is drawn toward a purpose she never meant to claim.

But her journal is not as silent as it seems.

As people vanish from scattered settlements, messages appear among Teifa’s words with a warning: something is weakening a boundary no one was meant to disturb. And if it gives way, the horror beyond it may be more than the world can survive… a second time.

Protecting the people who finally made her want to stop running may force Teifa to confront the question she fears most…

About the Archangel Series

Archangel: Volume I: Hope and Purpose begins Teifa Spero’s story.

This volume is the first of three that together comprise the original first novel in the larger Archangel series. It follows the earliest steps of Teifa’s journey as she arrives in a fractured corner of the world, forms the first fragile threads of found family, and discovers that hope and purpose may still be waiting in places she never expected.
